Our market entry focus

A health innovation network built for female entrepreneurs.

The MEL Collective starts with the founders and innovators who understand the problem because they have lived it. Our dual purpose model focuses first on mid-age female civilians and mid-age female veterans and military women. These two communities give the network real demand, clear standards, and a foundation that expands from there.

Mid-age Female Civilians

Female founders, entrepreneurs and innovators building products and services for work, health, caregiving and daily life at mid-age. This population has clear unmet needs, strong purchasing power, and a central role in Canada's inclusive entrepreneurship and regional innovation agenda. Products that work for them tend to benefit households, communities and economies.

Mid-age Female Veterans and Military Women

Female founders, innovators and teams with demanding operational experience, high standards of evidence and long-term transition needs. This includes female veterans, retired military women and serving military women approaching mid-age. Supporting women veterans and military families in skilled employment, entrepreneurship and civilian leadership is a public priority. Work that holds up here tends to hold up anywhere.

By starting with these two communities, the network builds products, evidence and businesses that are more likely to work for women everywhere. From there, the model expands to families, communities and wider markets.
