Residencies

Live-work environments for builders.

Residencies are live-work stays inside a larger innovation ecosystem. They bring together entrepreneurs, researchers, professionals, and residents in nature-based campuses with co-working spaces, flexible length of stay, and community areas designed around what people need.

What a residency is

A residency at The MEL Collective is a structured stay inside an ongoing innovation and commercialization process. It is designed to support entrepreneurs, researchers, and teams while their product or service is being developed, tested, and refined on campus.

Purpose

A residency is a live-work stay inside a larger innovation and continuity campus. It supports entrepreneurs, researchers, professionals, and residents who need space, structure, and community to do their work.

Length of stay

Stays are flexible and scoped to the person and the project. A short visit can support a focused build, a reset, or a test. A longer stay can support deeper work, recovery, learning, or product development.

Co-working spaces

Shared desks, private studios, meeting rooms, and small production areas are available on each campus. Entrepreneurs and teams can work alongside the broader community while keeping access to the campus services.

Community areas

Different levels and areas of the community are developed around peoples needs. Some zones are quiet and private. Others are social and collaborative. Residents and guests can choose the setting that fits their work and state.

Daily structure

Each day has a coherent rhythm. Work, movement, nourishment, research, learning, and rest are organized so the environment supports both output and regulation.

Product and service testing

While a product or service moves through the commercialization and innovation process, it can be tested and refined with the people it is being built for. Inputs are captured through MEL iDE with permission and remain with the person after the residency ends.

For entrepreneurs

A place to work on the business, not just recover from it.

Work alongside your build

Entrepreneurs can live on campus while they develop product, test systems, meet partners, and build their teams. Co-working areas, meeting rooms, and small production spaces are part of the environment.

Flexible length of stay

A residency can last a few days, several weeks, or longer. The length is shaped by the work, the milestone, or the recovery needed, not by a fixed calendar.

Community by need

Different areas of the campus are developed for different modes of work and rest. Some people need quiet and isolation. Others need collision, conversation, and collaboration. The layout supports both.
